Abstract
Map Scale: ca. 1:9,600 (1 inch = 800 feet). Flight date is April 10, 1964. This photography was produced for the Baltimore City Planning Department by an unidentified contractor. The flight consisted of four flight lines and some images provide coverage into adjoining areas of Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County, including Friendship Airport (BWI).
There is no index for this series of aerial photos. Photos are arranged based on four north-south orientated flight-lines.The image prefix number (i.e. 15-, 16-, 17-, 18- ) indicates the flight-line. Flight-line 15 covers the western most areas of Baltimore City. Flight-lines 16 and 17 cover the core central area, and flight-line 18 covers the eastern most areas.
Description
This set of digital images was created in the fall of 2010 from oversize, mylar based, original photographs held by the Baltimore City Planning Department. We are indebted to the Planning Department staff for helping us make this important set of aerial photography available.
