dc.description.abstractDr. Joshua Einhorn received a B.S. in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Johns Hopkins University in 1986. He served as the founding president of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance (GALA) at Johns Hopkins University, and co-founded the first LGBT+ alumni group at Hopkins, the Lesbian and Gay Alumni Association (LAGA). In this oral history, he describes his experience coming out as a gay student on campus in the 1980s, as well as challenges he and others faced from the university when seeking support to start the Lesbian and Gay Alumni Association. This oral history is part of the Hopkins Retrospective oral histories series.en_US
