Abstract
This dissertation explores and discovers the underlying rhetorical unity of the book of Deuteronomy by applying the analytical tools and concepts developed by Chiam Perelman and Lucie Olbrechts-Tyteca in The New Rhetoric. It also contrasts the differences in metaphysics between Hebrew rhetoric found in Deuteronomy and that of the classical Greeks.
