Description
Description from Mapping Maryland: "Morse (1794-1871), publisher of a religious newspaper, expanded into map printing and in 1834 invented the wax engraving process (cerography), a technique soon to be used widely by other map-makers. This view of the tri-state area appears in Morse's "Universal Atlas".
