Letter from Frances Schillinger to composer Henry Cowell, worrying about the upcoming articles in the journal Modern Music that are being published on Joseph Schillinger. "I simply don't understand their antagonistic attitude. Several people, including Slonimsky, have already said they don't see how Eliott Carter could write any article, pro or con, considering that he couldn't possible have studied the book in so short a time. However, what the hell!"
